Got a new setup and I notice a HUGE difference between high-quality spotify files and my FLAC files.

You can look up Fidelia or Audirvana if you want a fancy paid product for FLAC.

Make sure you have high quality streaming turned on in the spotify preferences, or youll just be listening to 128192kbps files You probably could not tell the difference between flac and 320kbps spotify in AB testing unless you did it with a high end system Keep in mind as well, if comparing two different sources you have to be absolutely sure that they are the exact same volume level, any difference in volume can heavily influence what you hear, this is probably why the FLAC files sound better as they may be louder than the files on spotify level 2 6 points 7 years ago Just turned on high quality streaming Thanks Continue this thread level 2 2 points 7 years ago Im only slightly ashamed to say I paid for HQ Spotify for over 6 months before I figured out I needed to select it as an option.

What is the bit rate on that, a Google search turned up nothing.

Its simple, has a good interface and does everything I need it to do.
